When That Siren In Your Head Finally Shuts Up

October 29, 2025
Saw this woman in my office Tuesday. Mascara everywhere. Red eyes. The whole thing.

She'd been sitting in her car crying for 20 minutes before coming in. I know because she told me. Third patient like that THIS WEEK.
"I can't do this anymore," she said, voice all shaky. Showed me her phone. Three kids. Cute dog. Husband. "My psychiatrist keeps saying 'wait six more weeks' for this medication to work. Six weeks? My youngest doesn't even remember when I wasn't like this."

Look - our medical system is garbage for mental health. Total garbage. I was part of it. For years. Writing scripts. Nodding sympathetically. Saying useless crap like "give it time" while watching real people with real lives suffer through MONTHS of treatments that sometimes never worked.

That's why we made the ONE-DAY TMS thing at KIND. Because I got tired of watching people suffer.

All the treatments in ONE DAY? Not six weeks of coming here? Yep.

One day. Ten hours in our office. 20 TMS sessions. Breaks to watch dumb TikTok videos or nap or whatever. No drugs. No sedation. Just magnetic pulses waking up parts of her brain depression shut down.

ONE-DAY is like a power surge. Gets things moving faster.

Most people notice something changing 2-5 days after. Never movie-scene transformations. More like:
Mental noise gets quieter. Sleep actually works again. You laugh at dumb commercials. Your boss says "can we talk" and you don't immediately assume you're fired. Energy comes back like someone's slowly turning up a dimmer that's been stuck on low.
Doesn't work for everyone. That'd be a lie. But our numbers are pretty amazing.

Depression scores down 42% average. Anxiety down almost 60%. Two-thirds had major improvement. Over a third hit full remission.

Real people. Messy lives. Not perfect research patients.

Insurance companies make me crazy. "Prove you're really suffering before we help." They want you to fail multiple medications before covering TMS. Like saying "we know there's better treatment but first stay miserable longer." What kind of backwards logic?
We fight those battles behind the scenes. Document everything. Appeal the denials. Find workarounds. Because I refuse to make you put your life on hold when there's a better way.

Mom from Carlsbad after treatment in March: "First week nothing. Second week didn't cry every morning in shower. Week four my 7-year-old asked why I'm smiling so much."

Teacher with panic attacks since college called three weeks after: "I drove on the 5 yesterday. First time since 2020. Didn't white-knuckle the steering wheel. Didn't feel like I was dying. Just... drove."

This isn't some trendy approach. It's completely reimagining how mental health treatment should work.
ONE-DAY Protocol isn't magic for everybody. Some do better with traditional. But for so many people I see – especially those barely hanging on – it's changed everything.

If you're thinking "nothing works for me" or "I don't have time for endless appointments" or just "I want my life back" – there's real hope. Not Instagram-quote hope. Real I've-seen-it-with-my-eyes hope.

Want to know if this might help? Call us. Not about selling you something. About finding your way back to yourself.
Nobody should live with that siren blaring in their head every day. You deserve to feel like yourself again.
